Preston County Schools will be sponsoring a series of informal informational meetings in regards to the proposed school closure process at Fellowsville and Rowlesburg for all members of the general public. Meetings will be held in each of the communities that will be potentially impacted by the proposed school closures for the 2019-20 school year. The purpose of these informational meetings is for the Preston County Schools’ central office administration to gather information from the public and for the public to understand what is being recommended and why. Board members may be in attendance, but will not be permitted to field questions or deliberate on any matters. All meetings will begin at 6:00 PM. Meetings will be held in the following locations on the following dates: Monday, October 15th at South Preston School; Tuesday, October 16th @ Fellowsville Elementary; Wednesday, October 17th @ Rowlesburg; Thursday, October 18th @ Terra Alta / East Preston; and Tuesday, October 23rd at Central Preston Middle School.

School Closure Hearing
A public hearing regarding the possible closure of Rowlesburg School will be held on Wednesday, November 7th at 5:00 P.M. at the Rowlesburg School.
The October PTO Meeting will focus on the hearing and possible closure. Please attend and let your thoughts and concerns be heard. The PTO Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 2 at 6:00 P.M. in the Rowlesburg School Library.
The current Rowlesburg School building opened in 1987 in Manheim following the devasting Flood of '85 took the school on Buffalo Street in downtown Rowlesburg. Rowlesburg School currently has 113 students, 25 professional personnel and 6 service employees.
